Style Inspiration: How To Style Velvet This Season

Heavily featured on runways from designers like Valentino, Ralph Lauren, and Emporio Armani, it seems that the velvet trend isn’t going away any time soon. Having made a comeback a couple seasons ago, the luxe fabric is hotter than ever and is no longer confined to after-dark special occasions. You can see velvet come out to play in everyday outfits, adding a hint of luxury and texture.

So for some style inspiration to help you sport the trendy soft fabric this season, I’ve put together a selection of velvet goodies from some of the hottest style bloggers! From bold booties to simple and chic tops, this seasonally versatile fabric is the best way to turn everyday basic essentials into swanky staples to cling onto this Fall and Winter!

A velvet moto jacket can easily make a tank top and embroidered distressed jeans look like your actually put some effort into your outfit. As Jess said in her post, “I’ll take any excuse to wear denim for holiday,” velvet let’s you do just that! Pair this look with a pair of strappy heels, and you have a super chic date night or girls’ night outfit without a lot of effort!

One of the newest trends that I’m absolutely loving is velvet pants. Sure there’s corduroy, but who woulda thunk how stylish and versatile velvet pants are! Dress them down with a flannel shirt like Jess did above, or dress them up with a nice tank and blazer.

11 Favorite Handbags of the Season

It seems like there’s a “National Day” for anything and everything. Punctuation? There’s a National Day for that. Kazoos? There’s a National Day for that, too. There’s even a National Nothing Day. But one National Day that I can get down with is National Handbag Day! Created in 2013 by Purse Blog, October 10th has been dubbed Handbag Day, recognizing the importance of handbags in daily life and in fashion. The day also acknowledges that a handbag is not only an essential item, but also “where style meets function” and “they can mean so much more than the some of our contents.”

How To Update Your Skincare Routine For Fall

Your skincare routine is a lot like your wardrobe: A couple of times a year, you need to switch out the pieces that don’t fit for that particular season. So as you start incorporating your beloved leather moto jacket and corduroy jeans, don’t forget to switch things up with your skincare routine as well!
