Mmmm, Friday . . . We finally get to lay back and relax a little. And what better way to lay back and relax than outside! This week, I’ve been Summertime dreamin’ (ya know, like California dreamin’) about all the ways I want to dress up my patio, all the cocktails I want to try to make, and all the fun prints and patterns I’ll be wearing. It’s supposed to be a sunshine-filled weekend here in Dallas (aside from today) and I plan on spending a lot of time outside on the patio and setting aside some time for my June goal. Here’s a few links that have been inspiring me lately. Enjoy!
Friday Favorites | Volume Four
Favorite Dinner Party: Camille Styles’ blog is one that I check on the reg. From wellness and beauty to entertaining and recipes, that blog’s got it all! And even though I’m not a great cook, her brunch and dinner party posts always get my mouth watering! They threw a beach-inspired dinner party for Memorial Day and it’s definitely my favorite! With a “bare feet required dress code” and a coconut/coral/seashell centerpiece, I think the whole thing was on point. Plus, the Hawaiian Smashed Sliders and Banana Coconut Rum Slushies look super tasty!
Favorite Cocktail Master: Speaking of yummy looking cocktails, if you get a chance this weekend, check out Craft and Cocktails Co. Trying new and different cocktails in one thing I love to do. Tasting, that is. And after finding Ashley Rose Conway’s blog, I went out yesterday and bought some ingredients to make a couple of her beautiful looking recipes. Not only is she a cocktail connoisseur, she also crafts and produces shoots for Oh Happy Day and writes columns on Jojotastic and Sugar & Cloth. Take a look at my favorite cocktails below!
Favorite Kitchenware: Sure, Summer dinner parties are great with yummy cocktails. But serving ware is obviously a must! Aside from the usual kitchen essentials, I always find more joy out of cooking when I have a pretty piece to use with my creation — like a beautiful ikat plate to serve the food on, gorgeous itched cups, or detailed silverware. And when I came across Anthropologie’s latest dinnerware collection, I became immediately obsessed. Which one is your favorite?!
Favorite Outdoor Furniture: Lastly, every outdoor dinner party needs equally fabulous outdoor furniture. Serena & Lily nautical-inspired outdoor furniture is the definition of beachy!
Now if only I had the money to buy all this, I’d put together the best outdoor Summer part ever!
